这里为什么用forgotten而不用forgot？
首先，“不应该被忘记XXX”才是直译，所以是被动语态，be+过去分词。这里译成“不应忘记”是翻译的技巧，英文原句还是被动式。
其次，forget的过去分词形式，国内是遵循英式英语，是"forgotten"，所以不能用"forgot"。
最后，严格地说，"forgotten"非常英式化。现在在美国和加拿大，很多情况下都用"forgot"代替"forgotten"，当然也有用“forgotten”的。
口语用得最频繁，上课的时候老师也会这么说。
另外在一些正式场合也用，比如CBC（相当于加拿大的央视）的官网新闻，经常就会出现类似"mustn't be forgot"之类的句子，因为这个用法在北美已经普及了。
又如一些文学语言也会用"forgot"而不是"forgotten",比如美国诗人emily dickinson有一首诗，“to be forgot by tree”。
其实forgot这个用法，在北美的英语教科书里面被列为可以和forgotten替换。但是如果是国内的英文考试，还是用forgotten才对。
