选择A。一个个分析吧：
A. because是原因表述中最简洁的用法；doing so中so可以指代前面叙述的行为；helps也正确。
B. 看到it想指代：it不能指代句子只能指某个名词【如果你觉得it可以指代idea的话，那么句意及逻辑就有问题：能够help reduce wear on the engine parts 的是某种“行为”，而不是“想法”本身】，it不能指代change a car's oil and filter regularly 这个行为（若句中有behavior的话，it指代就没问题）。
C.this不能单独做宾语或主语，排除；且两个句子间没有连词或分号~
D.太罗嗦，用help就行了，动词永远最优先【动词优于名词优于形容词】；SAT表示原因最喜欢because；且it又没有指代了。
E.也是表达上不够好，表目的用to do就好了，为什么非要说perpose。。。呢？
